Emma is such an amazing woman, who despite the tragic situation she found herself in, continued smiling and living life as best she could. Emma's humour for the dark situation kept us laughing and joking right to the end. Emma and I shared many conversations about life and love which I will treasure, and brought many tears to our eyes through laughter and the harsh reality of their situation. I have been inspired to live each day and do what I can to enhance the life I lead, taking opportunities as they present themselves. I have been privileged to observe and be part of Danny and Emma's life together, and will always be thankful for this. The environment The Rowans have provided has enabled the last few weeks of Emma's life to be as comfortable as possible. They have welcomed our entourage of visitors with smiles; from the welcome team making sure we know where to go, the coffee shop staff with the tea and cake, the silent volunteers and fundraising team who make it possible and the nurses and doctors who tried to make Emma as comfortable as possible. They have been a blessing.
